I need to mask off my tail numbers for some touch up paint in the area around it. They are quite large approximately 12 inches tall...

I would like to put a clear or see through masking tape or adhesive plastic on top and then use an exacto knife to cut around the numbers and letters and peel of the surrondings..

I think this will be faster than using fine line masking tape.. But might be wrong.

Any ideas what materials can be use for this?
