Just a question. We have a 62 Comanche 250 with a O-540. When at cruise, the manifold pressure is constantly fluctuating about 0.3 to 0.5 up and down. Is this normal for a carbureted engine?

My partner used to have a fuel injected Mooney and the MP was rock solid. We have checked for leaks and put an orifice in the sensing line but it is still unsteady.
