If timing was off, would it affect fuel flow amount for a given mixture setting?

Scenario:

Take off power both sides flow equal at 26-27 gph full rich.

In cruise and TIT set at 125* ROP, LE burns 1.5-2 gph more than RE. Factory TIT gauge recently overhauled so fairly certain its accurate and calibrated to JPI.

If fuel flows matched, LE TIT is 70'ish* hotter than RE.

RE closely matches book numbers for fuel flow at given power/mixture setting.

Appreciate any ideas or thoughts.
