It says "project." Probably submerged or cracked up, or pulled chute.

The chute has to be replaced every 10 years, about $14000 to have it done.

Yes, just for kicks my brother researched that for me. And that's essentially what he said, too.

I wish I could have charged that much. The standard around the country is $11,500 for the 1999-2004 models, and later ones are $8600.

The turbo kit alone is $70K. This project is not for the timid but the numbers are pretty good.

Do you do these Cirrus repacks? Just curious.

In this case, is the turbo kit an upgrade to the original engine?

So perhaps this particular Cirrus only needs the parachute replacement?

After reading the article about the chute replacement, it seems wise to avoid the first generation Cirrus. Each successive chute replacement wears on the structure and requires an involved cosmetic repair.
