Yesterday I was flying my 64 Comanche 250 at 9000 and 160kts, I wanted to be at 9500 and I thought I would get that 500ft in a hurry. I pulled the yolk and shot up and lost 100% of power. I still had airspeed, I leveled the plane and switched tanks. it took a very long 10 seconds before the power came back. After the fact I realized that I had over maneuvered the airplane. I climbed too fast and since I had only 1/4 thank in the left main, the fuel pooled in the back of the wing and the engine sucked air. I know this makes me seen like I'm not too bright but I'm sharing this experience because other Comanche owners might find themselves in the exact situation.
