I have a winch in the back of my hangar with a braided steel cable that I use to pull my airplane ( PA 28 - 180 ) up an incline into my hangar. I am looking to make a stress relief strap that can be installed between the tow hook on the cable and the tail tiedown on the airplane. Hopefully this would have an elastic property to it that would reduce the strain placed on the tail tie down each time the winch is started and stopped. I apologize in advance if this topic has been covered previously, and I may have failed to find it in a search. Ideas anyone ?
