I saw a blue stain on the bottom of my wing and was not looking forward to removing the tank. I called AirWard, you have seen the ads, "piper makes it mandatory, airward makes it easy" and told the guy I needed one of his kits fast so I could fly to my Dads for Thanksgiving. I got the kit the next day. I called him back twice to ask him a couple of stupid questions and he gave me detailed advice on doing it right. [I had never replaced a tank before]. One of his suggestions was to inspect the rear spar and apply the left over Dinitrol AV8 to it while the tank was out. I did. Luckily there was zero corrosion. And after getting back home after Thanksgiving, I saw the service bulletin 1244, checking for corrosion on the aft spar. Doing it while the tank was out saved me a bit of work. That does not happen often, but when it does, its sweet.
