Normally, this wouldn't be a problem by mid-March (we'd be in consistently +0 temps during the day), but this has been a strange winter for Ottawa. Right now, my wheels are frozen in about 1" of ice after a thaw and refreeze. During future thaws, it would be nice to be able to elevate my mains slightly to keep them out of the inevitable ice chocks.

I've seen some owners on the field using small squares of plywood and rolling the mains onto those. Any better suggestions? Maybe an inexpensive small, slightly-raised metal grille I could buy? I've learned some clever solutions on this list before (like my current gust lock), so I'd be grateful for more. I won't need it, probably, until next winter, since we should be through the ice in a day or two, but I want to plan ahead.
