I live in MI...dont need a turbo. So of course an opportunity has presented itself to acquire one. I know the reputation is that the turbos cost a lot more to run and maintain and that they wont make TBO. With the new engine monitors is this still the case?

If I will spend 90 percent of my time below 9k, is a turbo an absolute NO, or is it just nice to have if and when you need it?
