Hello I joined the forums less than a year ago. Originally I was looking for a Cherokee six to haul the family but my A&P suggested a 4+2 seat Comanche. I am having a hard time finding an affordable Cherokee Six. We are a family of four, maybe 5 someday in the near future. It seems like the Comanche would meet most of our needs if not all with a nice hefty load (I read if it fits, it ships) especially on the c model, pretty fast cross country plane which would be great to travel between CA, OH and MN where I have family, and potentially I could use the 5th seat in the back for a child and some light luggage. The Comanches appear to be a bit more affordable than the Cherokee six as well and apparently built like a tank.
Does the Comanche have any issues I should know about with the CG before I purchase. any years I should avoid specifically, I would obviously get a PPI before purchasing from a reputable A&P.
Also are there any local members in the LA area, Torrance, Hawthorne, Compton, Long Beach or neighboring airports that have one with the 5 & 6 seats willing to show it to me? That would really help me.
