I realize insurance prices are going up and I am a VFR pilot. I had on odd response from my insurance company. I am a low time pilot and I have owned an arrow a little over a year now. The rate this year is going up as I am sure it is for a lot of us. When I bought the plane I was required to get 15 hours of dual which I completed understood and was happy to have.
The rub now is that the insurer stated that they had to fight to get the dual instruction requirement dropped for this year. My question is in addition to the BFR do insurance companies require dual each year?

Again I am a low time pilot, 160 total and 60 in the arrow over the last year.
