Hello.

Ive purchased a used heated pitot that is supposed to be for a pa-28. it has 2 metal tubes that leave the unit an inch or so, along with the electrical wiring.

I took off the inspection plate to check out what was going on in there, and my pitot has one hose leaving it. Granted I could only see 3/4 of the pitot inside the wing, so Im not sure what mine looks like at the base. Ill take a mirror this afternoon, but am sure someone here knows what im doing.

Additionally, there is extra wiring and looped for distance tied to the wing tip light wiring with string and plastic ties, but I didnt pull it to see if both pos and neg were in there, it appeared to be only one wire, but the sheathing could have held both I assume. The nylon straps were brittle so I left it alone for a warmer day, and thought Id ask you knowledgeable folks for assistance.

Thanks in advance, this forum is very helpful.
