I recently inherited a 1967 Piper PA28-180 Cherokee C that hasn't flown since last annual 2004, and most likely not cranked since then. I personaly haven't flown since then either. The plane belonged to my father with whom I went with to pick it up at the Vero Beach Fla plant in 1967 as a child. The plane has some sentimental value and im considering restoring it. I probably have more questions than answers and need opinions before making a decision as what to do with the plane. Please keep in mind that I know verry little about plane ownership. I know the enging log says from last annual: Compression (73/80), (68/80), (68/80), (68/80), Tach=273.9, Enginr Total Time 965.2. I also know that it was repainted and some interior, carpet and wall panels 2004, approx. 8-10 years ago. The nav/com is ancient and was not working properly in 2004, some of the instruments were replaced in 2004: Compass, Airspeed Indicator, Clock. Breaks and linings also replaced in 2004. So what do you think and where do I start?
