I have a problem with my oil temperatures being too low even in summer. I've replaced the vernatherm to no effect. With more time on my hands I've examined the old vernatherm and it appears to not be sealing completely based on the wear marks on the bevel (see pic below). I will have to get a look at the boss in the bracket for the vernatherm when it gets a bit warmer in my hangar but until then, I'm trying to locate the adapter bracket. From the continental.aero site I've finally located the part in the 'crankcase' section (see attached pic part #47). It seems to be over 2 AMU and a special order from Spruce and I can't locate any in the standard bone yards. Will call Contenental tomorrow. Looking for suggestions, both for the part and as a check on my reasoning.
