I am still working on finishing my PPL and am currently fairly well along at just a little over 30 hours. Have done a few solo flights to local airports in a 172, a cross country (I was flying back the C172N I purchased in Redding, CA to Reno)
Just purchased N262GG, a really nice 67 Cherokee 235 and have flown it just once so far from Minden, NV to Reno. I hope to transition and finish most of my training in it to get really used to it and comfortable.
Yes, I did purchase two planes before getting my PPL, but the C172N was purchased to do a leaseback to a new local flight school that is replacing the flight school I was taking lessons at as they got bought out for their air ambulances and have closed the flight school.
The 235 will also be available as a rental thru the company as I am leasing it back as well, but I do plan to fly it much more often than the 172 once I have my license.
I'm 44 so I'm getting a bit of a late start at all of this, but am having a ton of fun learning to fly. Having done my first Solo at the location for the Reno Air Races was a real blast.
