Has anyone installed a heated pitot tube on their cherokee? I have a 1968 140 and it has a place for a switch that is labeled pitot heat. There is no switch there, but it is labeled. I was wondering what it would take to install one and if it's worth it. Do the tanks have to be pulled? Does the system have to be recertified? I do a lot of IFR flying and would love to have it just incase. I avoid icing conditions at all cost but it would be nice to have, you know. Thanks.
