If you are heading to Oshkosh, when you plan your trip remember the Rock River Trail air route puts you right at the NOTAM arrival point.

The Rock River Trail is part of the National Water Trail System. And it is the first in the nation to add an Air Route along the trail. There are 9-10 airports along the trail that are very GA friendly. A few are grass strips while others, like Quad Cities and Rockford, support all the way up to commercial service. The Rock River Trail website has all sorts of information about each community along the route, things to do and see, places to eat and stay, and some of the airports also support camping if you want to enjoy a little extra time enjoying the trip rather than just your EAA final destination.
