Well finally the stars/planets aligned for me to take my Flight Review.(expired end of August).
CFI has been unavailable,I've been sick, etc and etc.
During preflight alternator belt was too loose, further inspection revealed that the alternator bracket bolt attached to the 0320 was broken off in the case (arrrrgh).
Some time later with prop pulled, nose bowl off(1964 Pa28) the diagnosis is confirmed.Bolt remainder removed with a little trickery.
Now the fun began, locating the bolt.I have parts diagrams for engine and airframe so I start looking. My Lycoming parts look up shows part #LW-31H.75.Another 0320 look up shows #LW-31HO.75. Which is correct?? seems nothing listed for the LW 31H.75 @ Spruce.
Both agree it is a 5/16-18x3/4 Bolt with a drilled head......my question is what else (AN equivilant)?? could I use.Seems a bit excessive @ $7+ for a damn bolt to hold an adjustment bracket.....any ideas Y'all.

Gonna order from Aircraft Spruce I guess.
Thanks
