Hey everyone,

hoping someone on here could help
Us out, I have a student that has a new Garmin gnx375 installed in his aircraft with a dual g5 installation, he has the gad29b and it’s coupled to his S-Tec 40ap

we can’t get gpss roll steering to actually work, the autopilot flies just fine off the g5 heading bug but when we try to click “Gpss” it goes green but won’t follow anything from the gnx375,he called the installation shop and they swear that it’s wired correctly but have said “it won’t fly the gps course” this cant possibly be true, reading the documentation for the g5 it states gpss roll steering and I can’t believe that Garmin would release the gnx375 without course output and it stated that it outputs to select autopilots

assuming the wiring is correct we think something in the settings isn’t correct, anyone have any ideas /screenshots?

his NAV/com radios are kx155’s with indicators so it seems the gnx375 is the only thing wired to the g5 that’s the hsi

any direct to or flight plan information on the gnx375 that’s programmed correctly slews the course pointer and hsi on the g5 so we think the wiring must be working

thanks, the only other option involves taking it to a different installation shop to reverse engineer how it’s been wired ect

Eric
