I gather he's suggesting the included antenna is valued at $225 and you won't need that.

The selling price is not included in the add that I can tell. Needs to be added.

It also requires a 24v electrical system... likely not going to work for most of our old Pipers w/14v electrical systems...

Wouldn't that be a wiring change? Does Garmin actually manufacture the interior electronics differently or would it just need an adapter kit or similar to rig it to use 14v?

I could be wrong... I just did some 'googling' and it looks like it can be used in either 14 or 28 volt systems. Should probably check w/Garmin to be sure.
