GNC355 and VNAV (not VCALC)?

Hi All,

I recently installed a GNC355 in my Dakota with the intension of accessing the VNAV function on my GFC500. Before I purchased the GNC I was told by Garmin that the VNAV function on the GFC could be used with the functionality on the GNC355. I did do my own research before purchasing the unit and the information available seemed unclear. Ultimately I contacted Garmin for the answer and went with that.

Any thoughts?
