Ive had a 1998 Saratoga HP II for 6 years. On departure this morning, the gear would not retract - no motor activity on the gear pump. I did receive a GEAR WARN light when I moved the gear switch to retract. I pulled and reset both fuses. No change.
My first thought was the squat switch. The mechanic who inspected the gear said the switch was functioning. I then inquired about the throttle position switch (I had a similar issue with a F33A and it was an out-of-position throttle limit switch that prevented the gear from retracting.) He was unsure if this plane had one and if the throttle position switch would prevent a retraction if improperly configured. The maintenance manual and wiring diagram shows one in the circuit to warn of low manifold pressure with the gear up.
Any thoughts?
