Garmin discontinuing WAAS upgrades to 430/530 line

Just saw this in an AOPA email. I decided not to upgrade my second 430 a while back as I’d rather spend the money on newer tech. However I always assumed I would be able to sell the old unit. This decision will probably affect the market for used non WAAS equipment significantly.

the article said upgrades could be purchased until the end of May and Garmin needed to receive the navigator by the end of June.
