G5 replacing existing HSI?

Anyone know if the labor time is reduced any if you already have an existing HSI? I know there is significant labor running wire for the magnetometer for the G5, but curious if there’s any difference for existing equipment. Don’t most HSIs have something similar mounted in the wing or behind the rear bulkhead?
