I noticed this before but checked it out more yesterday. The center aluminum floor was very hot, much to hot to touch. This would be right fwd of the flap handle, mostly on the left side. I ask because I have a cord in that area occasionally(for intercom) and was worried about it melting. I didn't have any heat on, this was during climb/cruise at 4500 ft. The plane is a 74 Warrior.

I realize the exhaust is down there, below the aircraft. It just seemed hotter than should be. Just wondering if a hot center floor is close to normal?
