My aircraft only has a 2 place intercom with a Garmin GMA340 Audio Panel. I also have a FlightCom Voice-Activated Intercom (4 Place) that was included in a box with some used headsets that I purchased off of eBay several years ago. I very rarely fly with more than one passenger. On 2 occasions, when flying with 2 passengers, I have tried to use the FlightCom unit and can not seen to get it to work.

I have tried plugging the unit into the panel and then all headsets onto the FlightCom and, although everyone in the plane can talk with each other, the radio will only transmit a click when I 1st hit the transmit button, outside the plane (Tried using the radio while I was on the phone with the FBO). If I remove the pilot headset from the FlightCom and plug it into the panel, the passengers could hear me, but I could not hear them and I still could not transmit.

What am I missing? Or does this thing just not work?
