Here is a topic I haven’t seen on here and figured I would throw it out there And see what people have to say. So I opened a small flight school a little less than a year ago in Southern Maine...I started with a 74 piper warrior and added a Beechcraft Duchess a few months ago, both I am financing with a personal loan. I get a little deal on gas and hanger space and reasonable MX. Does anyone have any experience with this and have any advice? So far, knock on wood, it’s holding its own and not losing money but so far there is no real money in it. The biggest challenge has been finding instructors without a full time job so scheduling becomes challenging.
