I took the Tomahawk for a 600NM x/c Monday for something I needed to do at work. I chose to do it "old-school" with NO GPS and only the single installed VOR radio. At one point I used ASOS's at airports along the route LIKE DME. The reception strength is a good indication of distance. Here's the report. Since I had to HURRRRRY to get home at a decent hour, I had it firewalled instead of going for economy. MVFR due to 1700' Ceilings and high winds over the hole area. Temps were -15C +/- so in-flight icing around frozen clouds was non-existent.
