I am facing an engine overhaul. Last oil change I discovered metal in my filter. When I started tearing down the engine I found the #2 cylinder intake tappet pitted. See Photo. Engine O-320-D3G 1400 hrs SMOH.

After searching the internet it appears that Air Power Inc out of Arlington, TX and Aircraft Specialties Services out of Tulsa, OK are very close in prices.

I will be replacing cylinders, cam shaft and all the other required overhaul parts.

Has anyone had any dealings with either company? Good or bad? Is there another company that I should be buying my parts from?

Any suggestions on cylinder kits? After researching it does not cost much more to buy complete cylinder kits rather than overhaul cylinders.

Can anyone suggest anyone to do a 500 hr inspection or overhaul slick mags.

Any suggestions and advice would be great.
