Trying to resolve an issue with my carburetor.
Lycoming O-360-A3A literally just got back from the overhaul. Went to take back the plane and found the airspeed unresponsive. Aborted takeoff and returned to the maintenance hanger, but after taxing up the engine wouldn't shut down after pulling the mixture all the way back. Had to really pull to get the engine to cut. Asked my mechanic to adjust the mixture to fix that.
She has gone though the settings and even consulted the engine shop. But the engine is getting just enough fuel to barely continue running when the mixture is pulled. She is calling it Dieseling. They have removed the carburetor and sent is back to the engine shop.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? Is it a setting or a faulty carburetor?
