I know there has been some discussion of using UMA EL light strips for eyebrow panel lighting. SPT also now has an EL light strip. For those who *may* have these installed, or know someone who has them installed, what about the fact that these are not FAA approved for certified aircraft? Have you ever had a problem at an annual or with an A&P calling you out? Other concerns? I have and love the UMA EL light rings (Which are approved). I’d really like to add the eyebrow strips. Advice?
