FBO Transition Q&A Meeting

Ken Wiegand

Tenants and Users

Collin County Regional Airport

Ladies and Gentlemen:

As most of you have heard, the City of McKinney has agreed to acquire the assets of Schuler Development which includes most of the airport’s vertical hangar facilities, aircraft parking ramps and the Fixed Base Operation (FBO), effective Friday, November 1, 2013.

Approximately six years ago, one of the Schuler Development entities entered into a management agreement with Cutter Aviation to manage the FBO. That agreement expires October 31, 2013.

During the past several weeks, the City staff has worked diligently to prepare to operate the FBO, which on November 1, 2013 will be named McKinney Air Center. Our goal during the transition period and beyond will be to provide you, our valued customers, with quality products and superior service.

Staff will hold three informational meetings to address the transition and answer questions. Wednesday evening, October 30, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., former McKinney Aerospace Hangar (enter through the NORTH-facing doors on the east end of the building).

This is north of DFW, at KTKI.

Would've been nice to tell us in the middle of the month that it was coming, cost me a stop payment fee to the bank to cancel the rent check that was already mailed...
