Recently I saw a warning to the effect that oil is a limited resource, and is going to run out. Not while Briben is president., but later?

We have resources for many decades, but there is an interesting idea that I heard long ago. The accepted origin of oil is decomposition of orgonic material from, millions of years ago. Dinosaur juice. However, we have discovered hydrocarbon oceans on other planets that obviously never hosted dinosaurs, or the plant life that supported them. There is (or was) a theory that if you drill deep enough almost anywhere on the earth you will hit oil.

One slight problem. You probably need to drill 50 miles or more. Two miles or more is called "deep". A challenge to my son Dave, who is in the drilling equipment business. Probably easier than going to Mars, and much more useful.
