Destin, FL

So we are planning a family vacation in Destin, FL for July. Planning on flying right into KDTS as it’s very close to the house we have rented. There looks to be a lot of special airspace along the way in Mississippi and NW Florida. I’ll be going in IFR. Is there a good way to get in there and avoid the airspace? Any do’s And don’ts would be appreciated.

Also, I can’t quite make it non stop. Any good fuel stops in the Southern Missouri, Western Tennessee, or Mississippi area? Preferably a place with a restaurant on the field.

I’m hoping to make it over to Pensacola and check out the Naval Aviation Museum and maybe catch a Blue Angels practice flight. Any other must do’s In the area?
