I have a PA-28-140. When I owned Cessnas and turned pitot heat on, it would heat up quickly and noticeably to the touch. Now I have the blade style pitot. We have turn the pitot on, but could not really feel any warmth. Although i didn't know if it were internal, as the our pitot looks to be plastic.
