All:
I redid my interior last year and in so doing, I replaced the insulation with the foam insulation provided by Airtex.
I wish I had thought of it before, but yesterday after a significantly delayed annual inspection, I was finally able to measure noise inside the cabin while in cruise.

Measurements fluctuated to a small degree, but at 65% power, noise levels were around 103 db. At 55% power, this came down to about 95 db.

Like I said, I wished I had thought of doing this BEFORE I upgraded the interior just for a basis for comparison. To be honest it's pretty tough for me to tell if there was a significant reduction or not.

Nevertheless, I post this here just for the benefit of the forums and anyone who may be wondering what impacts they may see. Bear in mind I also put soundproofing on the rear bulkhead and inside the spar pass-through box as much as feasible. No soundproofing was done on the firewall.

If anyone here DOES have any measurements taken before they replaced interior/insulation, I would love to hear results.
