I enjoyed meeting with @cappy48 this afternoon in Fredericton, NB, and experiencing the famous Maritime hospitality. Glad I didn't know he was right by the threshold to watch my landing, or I probably would have bounced a couple of times just for good measure. Also got to share his beautifully-maintained Warrior.
Fredericton has a nice airport (first IFR airport after overlying Maine, if you're heading eastbound) and is a beautiful city, with the St John River, a decent-sized walkable downtown (lots of restaurants), and—as the provincial capital—elegant Victorian (and older) public buildings and houses. Strongly recommended for a visit, rather than just a quick fuel stop enroute to Halifax or PEI.
