I have a new avionics problem with some old avionics. I have in the '83 Arrow an Aspen PFD (1000), a Garmin 430 (non-waas) , and an original equipment King KFC 150 autopilot. The problem: I've had years of flawless performance. Lately though, in both the nav mode and approach modes, when coupled, the system will fly the aircraft maybe a half to one dot to the left of the centerline. This occurs with both gpss and localizer as the nav source. Not a big deal vfr, but a little more concerning ifr. The airplane when coupled just insists on flying left of centerline. My estimate is as much as 1/8 of a mile at altitude, down to maybe 200 feet left on final. Any such experience out there? And what has anyone out there found or done to resolve the problem.
