Unfortunately my IA discovered a crack on my Hartzell propeller spinner bulkhead yesterday during my annual inspection (that I have finally got around to doing after being out some 15 months now - I'm blaming Covid). I've never been fond of the smaller diameter pointy spinner/bulkhead that came with the new propeller when it was installed 15 years ago replacing the steel hub propeller. Is there a reason I could not use my old Hartzell spinner/bulkhead which looks better anyway (and fits the cowl opening better) on my 180? My IA wasn't sure. Do I contact Hartzell? Any thoughts?
