Just a heads up to everyone. My new to me StrutWipe Tommy has gone into annual. One of the upgrades I'm completing is the gascolator. I am installing Steve's Aircraft gascolator so I figured the compartment could be cleaned up and a new coat of paint. Upon removing the bracket holding the old unit I found the inside corroded. This aircraft has been flown for 100 plus hours every year. I would think most would check for debris in the bowl and screen. How often does one take a mirror to look at the bottom side?
