I was wondering how (or if) people on this forum secure the controls on older Piper Cherokees when using tie downs outside. Checklists recommend using the seat belts, but that pulls the yoke all the way back and lifts the aft end of the stabilator all the way up, which strikes me as less than ideal. Aircraft Spruce sells control locks for 68 models and up, but I fly a 1965 PA28-140.
