The topic says it all. Just completed my last annual in November, which revealed that compressions were all 77/80 or better. However, during the preflight run up, my full rpm's at static only gets to 2275. Now I understand but the range is anywhere from 2275 up to 2450 I believe, but it is on the low end of that range. The very low end. The prop that is on the airplane is a McAuley prop that was designed and is approved for the plane. It actually eliminates the middle rpm restriction. I'm wondering of this prop has anything to do with the static check being low. I cannot figure out how to find what the pitch of this prop is. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
