The fuel filler necks on my Warrior are corroded and allow leakage of water into the fuel tanks. I plan to have the tanks overhauled with new stainless steel filler necks at annual a year from now, but wonder of there is a stopgap until then. There is a discussion in the old Cherokee Hints and Tips book about using primer to even out the surface and allow sealing of the filler caps. Has anyone tried this or some other sort of filler, such as a flowable epoxy, after buffing down the corroded area?
