Just getting a good feel for my '73 Challenger after transitioning from Cessna 172s. Curious what everyone uses for approach speeds/flaps for normal approach and landings, short field takeoffs and landings, and soft field takeoffs and landings. (As well as gusty or strong crosswinds- add half gust factor and reduce flaps?)

POH says 85 approach if no flaps and reduce speed 3 mph for each notch of flaps. So it would be 76 on final with 40 deg flaps for a normal approach and landing.

It always seems like everyone has slightly different ways of doing it despite what's mentioned in the POH.
