Why would you not have this in your flight bag?
Most of the flying I do is VFR. Flight Aware, does not follow VFR plans. I fly often with friends on IFR and the path is followed. The SPOT and other PLB's have fee's. This device "seems" like a really cheap option. What am I missing?? Just sharing..... Cost a little more than the fuel bill for one hour flt.
