So, I need to mount a timer for my IFR training. It's technically not supposed to be removable so I was thinking of just doing a cheap kitchen timer and putting it up with command strips like:

Does anyone see any good reason I should use a more expensive purpose made timer? Also, where is ideal to mount? Yoke front? Unused spot in panel?

Thanks!
