Unfortunately I am tied down outside and do not have the benefit of a hanger.

With the onset of the cold weather there have been several instances where I find a layer of frost on the plane.

My approach thuss far has been to wipe off as much as I can and wait for the sun to take care of the rest while I pre heat the engine.

I've thought about buying some TKS but before I do I wonder what others are doing to remove frost from their planes.

Any suggestions for a good de icer or de icing method?

Thanks in advance.
