I just found out my 1964 Cherokee 235 still has an aluminum cable that runs from the battery to the starter solenoid. My mechanic will make me a new one and install it when I get my next annual, but where do I go to find the proper length? An internet search says Bogert Aviation will sell me one but they want more than $500 and my mechanic says he already has the copper cable, he just needs the length. I can find the Piper part number but no details.
