I just wanted to report back a solution to one my problems on my 1969 Arrow 200.
My number 2 has been consistantly running higher CHT than all other cylinders (despite being the one in the front!). My engine monitor data suggested a cooling problem on Nr2. I inquired the Piper powerplant tech support group and they shared the Service Letter 580 and bunch of instructions with me on how to install a cooling deflector plate in front of the nr 2 cylinder.

For some reason this SL was never executed for my airplane. It describes installing a deflector plate on top of the front baffle plate at cylinder nr2 and drilling a hole through the baffle plate towards lower intake port of the cylinder head. Since the install, CHT nr2 has come down by almost 20-30 degrees and it is now at par with the others.

my Jpi 700 is by far the best mod I've ever done on my airplane.
