My Instrument/Nav light potentiometer is failing. The behavior I am experiencing with it is that when I turn it on, the NAV lights come on immediately, but the instrument lights take a while before the switch "warms up" and feeds power out to the instrument lights. This usually takes about 2 minutes.

I'm having difficulty in finding the part.
The published part number in a 1994 Piper Parts catalog is: 67436-04 (POTENTIOMETER ASSEMBLY - Instrument lights, Nav lights).
I've also found a few references that this crosses over to a superseded part number, 587-779

Has anyone had any experience with this particular part and if so, please share.

Thanks!
